Curiosity Sparks an Idea
It all started with a simple purchase from China—just for personal use, of course. But soon, we realized there was a bigger opportunity. The idea of sourcing products from China and turning it into a business took root.
Testing the Waters
We began advertising products on Facebook while they were still in transit. The response was surprising; people were excited to buy, even though we hadn’t yet received our stock. This early traffic was all the encouragement we needed to grow.
First Sale
Alisha, our first customer, made our initial sale memorable. From then on, we were on a roll, adding new items to our collection—bracelets, wallets, caps, rings, and even gift hampers.
Expanding the Team
What started as a duo grew into a trio when Earl joined, and occasionally, we’d have a fourth helping hand. The team spirit helped us navigate through every challenge.
Shop Adventure: A Brief Stint in the CBD
We briefly had a shop in the CBD, but it turned out that the results from it were far below our expectations so we resorted to our numerous city-wide mobile deliveries,
Back To The Streets
After closing the shop, we found ourselves running all over the city with our stock. Most days, we spent hours in the CBD, waiting for orders to come in. We had to be on standby at all times, ready to make quick deliveries when an order was placed. It was fast-paced, but also exhausting.
The Turning Point
As the demand for gift hampers grew, it became increasingly difficult to manage. Moving around the city with boxes and stock wasn’t just tiring—it was chaotic. Finding space to assemble the hampers was a constant struggle, and that’s when we knew it was time to make a change. We decided to halt our mobile deliveries and find a suitable place to operate from.
A New Home at Old Park Street Mall
After realizing the limitations of mobile business, we settled down at Old Parkstreet Mall. The shift allowed us to organize better, manage stock efficiently, and provide customers with an improved shopping experience.
